4. Tara Is The (Stoned) Killer - Shrooms
Now to be totally fair to 2007's Shrooms, this big reveal is decidedly easier to guess nowadays considering how many similar twists we've seen over the last 20 years, though that didn't stop many correctly figuring it out on original release.
The movie follows a group of students who are stalked by a serial killer while high on mushrooms, which will immediately invite most attentive viewers to assume that not everything will be as it seems.
More to the point, do you think the person who spends the movie tripping balls on a death bell mushroom of all things might actually be the killer?
And ultimately that's exactly it - protagonist Tara (Lindsey Haun) eventually realises that she killed all of her friends in the midst of an extremely unpleasant drug trip.
It honestly would've been more surprising if most of the things we saw did happen, considering how utterly hackneyed and trite the unreliable narrator twist had become by the mid-2000s.
