WRATH OF THE TITANS Release Date Pushed Back A Week

Titans will clash!......again€€shortly€. Well, having made a fairly terrible version of a cult film of a classic tale- all wearing that badge of everything that is tawdry and worthless in cinema, 3D- Warner Bros seem intent upon revisiting their iniquities before the multiplex lemmings become aware that someone is brazenly trying to pull the same trick twice. And so, somehow, Jonathan Liebesman and a team of hacks have fashioned a sequel to this ancient narrative, and the only issue yet to be resolved is the release date. Three weeks ago Box Office Mojo announced that Wrath of the Titans would be released a week earlier than previously advertised, from March 30th 2012 to March 23rd, presumably with the intent to assert its primacy over highly anticipated Suzanne Collins adaptation, The Hunger Games. This week, however, the same publication reports that Warner Bros have had a change of heart, concerned by the anticipation for The Hunger Games (and Jennifer Lawrence!!) and possibly having expected Lionsgate to move their own date in turn, Clash 2 has been moved back to its original release, in competition with far less popular titles. Liebesmen- currently enduring a critical mauling for the contemptible Battle: Los Angeles- will steward a cast for the sequel that includes Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Rosamund Pike and the returning Liam Neeson.
