The appearance of Apocalypse has already proven quite divisive amongst fans, especially thanks to a rather notable and hilarious similarity to Ivan Ooze from the Power Rangers (once seen, cannot unsee). The trailer is a chance to silence the critics. Whatever your thoughts on the appearance, Oscar Isaac is a fantastic actor, and Apocalypse is an extremely powerful mutant. They need to focus on really showing that off, so people forget about him looking like a cosplay character. He's believed to be the first mutant, so showing his arrival, a glimpse of his destructive powers, and assembling the Four Horsemen before him would be a great way of building excitement for just what the villain can do, rather than what he looks like.
