8. Genosha, The Mutant Haven

One of the more intriguing beats from the trailer sees Jean heading to an unidentified island where she finds Magneto (Michael Fassbender), who appears to have created a mutant hideout of sorts.

This is in fact Genosha, an island off the African coast which appeared in the comics as a mutant haven. Clearly Magneto is yet again lying low and trying to keep himself out of trouble, but inevitably, Jean's going to lure him back home and he'll be donning the iconic helmet before we know it.

In the comics Genosha was ground zero for a mutant apartheid, though it's likely the island will only be featured briefly here as Jean convinces Erik to leave. Also, the fact that we see Sanskrit writing on some of the island's buildings could mean the location has been shifted from Africa to India for some reason.
