X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 4 Reasons Why There Should Only Be One Quicksilver

1. Being A Mutant And Magneto's Son Is Essential To His Character

magneto quicksilver What baffles me the most is how Marvel are going to handle how Quicksilver got his powers in The Avengers 2. They can't say he is a mutant due to rights issues, and they can't even mention one of the most important elements to the character... He is Magneto's son. That kind of ties in to why he starts out as a villain but then becomes a good guy and Scarlet Witch even merged the two universes in the comics. If it can happen in the comics, why not on film? I would love for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to be in both The Avengers and X-Men, as it would be doing their characters justice. I just oppose to the fact of them being played by different people in each movie. So the way I think it will go is, X Men will explain why Quicksilver is who he is, and in The Avengers, he will just be another superhero there that happens to run really fast. Just picture the scene. Nick Fury: So, Pietro, how did you get your powers? Pietro: Well, thats easy Nick, Im a mut..... Nick Fury: No you're not! You're in the Marvel universe so how can you be the M word? Pietro: Well I just woke up one day and I could run really fast, is that the same? Nick Fury: (sigh) See what I mean, there is no possible way for them to handle this character properly if they have him played by two different people. You will just have fans squabbling over who played him better, which is unnecessary. My idea, keep Peters as Quicksilver, he is a good fit for the role. Cast Johnson as someone else such as Iron Fist, who could even have his own movie. Use Scarlet Witch's powers to link the two universes together so everyone can get what they want, a joined universe. If it can happen in the comics, why not in the movie? So that's my thoughts on why there should only be one Quicksilver, and why he should start out as an X Men character before joining The Avengers as a way to link the two universes. So what do you think? Is Peters a good fit? Or do you prefer Johnson? Do you think it is time for the universes to merge? Do you hate all this rights garbage and just wish they would work together? Write down your thoughts below.
