X-Men Days Of Future Past - New Posters Feature Magneto And Xavier (All 4 Of Them)

x-men posters The marketing machine for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days Of Future Past continues to rumble on post-Comic Con! Entertainment Weekly have debuted two character posters for next year's epic blockbuster, featuring Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender's faces morphed together as Magneto... and then the same for Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. Here are the posters in full; xmen1xmen2 It's a pretty cool set of images but it does leave us with a few thoughts; 1) What does the Red and Blue X signify? I can't imagine that has just been thrown in there without a reason. Could it be some mutant segregation significance or simply the colour of the rival factions... red being the colour that Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants wear and blue being Xavier's X-Men attire colour of choice? 2) Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender have so similar a facial structure that it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Fassbender is actually an alternative universe version of McKellen! Though the same can't be said of Patrick Stewart and McAvoy who look nothing a like and this mash of their faces looks like an unfortunate stroke victim. 3) What is up with McAvoy's hair in this movie? Seriously. This is the first glimpse we've had of it and hints perhaps that he's let himself go a bit after being paralyzed on that beach. X-Men: Days Of Future past opens May 23rd, 2014 and stars Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, Lucas Till and Boo Boo Stewart. Fox's The Wolverine, opening this Friday, will begin to pave the way for the movie.
