9. A Father-Son Reunion
The trailer mostly has quite a serious, sombre tone, which I suppose is quite fitting when it's dealing with the potential end of the world and a whole load of destruction and chaos. Thankfully, though, there is some levity, and unsurprisingly it falls to Jennifer Lawrence's Raven and Evan Peter's Quicksilver to provide it.
Quicksilver explains to her that he's not afraid of Magneto, because he's his father. Cue a shocked look from Lawrence and a lot of viewers, while providing a great moment for fans of the comics as it brings this plot line into the movie canon.
That means we're going to explore the dynamic between Quicksilver and Magneto, and probably have a reunion between them, which feels all the more pertinent after the latter has already spoken of losing his family. Could he be one of the keys to bringing Magneto back from Apocalypse's side?
It'd already been stated that Quicksilver would have an increased role compared to his DOFP cameo, but it's shaping up to be even bigger and more important than first thought.
