Captain America The Winter Soldier
Marvel Studios

Captain America has probably been the greatest success story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His boy scout persona could easily have been the cheesiest aspect of the series. However, through clever storytelling, writing and a brilliant performance from Chris Evans, Steve Rogers has become the most endearing character in the MCU.

His solo outings have been stellar, with The Winter Soldier and Civil War being some of the best films the MCU has to offer. They have transcended the genre and become well thought out political thrillers - not just superhero movies.

The story of Steve Rogers has been one of the most compelling that the MCU has to offer. His arc spans from World War II all the way to the finale of the saga, with his fight against Thanos being the most epic of all the battles in Avengers: Endgame. (And that's saying something!)

Endgame gave Cap a perfect ending. He managed to go back and have his dance with Peggy Carter, whilst also passing on the mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson, which will be explored later in the upcoming Falcon & Winter Soldier series on Disney+.

With that series looming, let's look back at the legacy that Steve Rogers has in the MCU and see how much you can remember about his tenure!
