Even though Godzilla and King Kong are the most famous kaiju in movie history, we haven't seen the two titans square off for 50 years. But after decades of waiting, the rematch of the century is finally here.
Since Godzilla vs Kong is the fourth entry in the MonsterVerse, the 12th Kong movie, and the 36th film in the Godzilla series (yes, there has been that many), the hype to see the alpha predators slugging it out was inconceivable.
And to ensure Adam Wingard did both franchises justice, he stuffed the film with everything possible including new monsters, city-toppling brawls, bonkers concepts like Hollow Earth, and a showdown with (SPOILERS but not really because we saw it in the trailer) MechaGodzilla.
Viewers were so focused on the battle between the king of the monsters and the eighth wonder of the world, they probably missed some of the fine details.
