There are few heroes quite like the Guardians of the Galaxy. The eclectic line-up of thieves, assassins and talking raccoons have been kicking ass, taking names and raising hell in the solar system for over half a decade now. And, judging by what's to come in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they are just getting started.
Speaking of getting started, it all began for them back in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie (or Vol. 1 as it was retroactively titled) when Peter Quill's pilfering led to him crossing paths with Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer and the beloved Groot. Though they didn't all get on at first (do they ever?), they managed to put their differences aside long enough to, ahem, guard the galaxy.
