The legendary Terminator franchise made its return to movie theaters last year when the sixth entry, Terminator: Dark Fate, hit the silver screen. With the film series' creator James Cameron returning as producer, that was only one of the movie's big draws as Arnold Schwarzenegger reprised his role as the iconic titular cyborg and, for the first time in almost 30 years, Linda Hamilton returned to the role of Sarah Connor.
Dark Fate's reception was mixed, with critics praising Hamilton and Schwarzenegger's performances, the action sequences and the franchise's return to its gritty beginnings but criticising the underdeveloped new saviour of mankind while condemning the controversial narrative choice regarding John Connor's fate.
