2. It Sets Up A Sequel...That (Probably) Won't Happen
It is an incredibly odd feeling to watch a film that by all rights probably shouldn't exist, and yet which sets up a sequel which will most likely never actually happen.
The Snyder Cut leaves the door wide open for a follow-up where Darkseid returns to Earth, Superman is possibly turned evil, and the League has to prevent the Knightmare envisioned by Bruce.
That's not to ignore the fact that Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is seen scheming with Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello), all of this sewing curious seeds for a sequel that, short of the Snyder Cut giving HBO Max an historic boost, will never come to pass.
