Zack Snyder's Justice League: 10 Biggest Reveals From The New Trailer

6. Darkseid Comes To Earth

If this scene looks familiar, it's because it was in Joss Whedon's version of Justice League too. However, the key difference is that it's not Steppenwolf standing there: it's Uxas/Darkseid.

This isn't in the present day, but is, in fact, that massive battle between Darkseid's forces from Apokalips, and men, Atlanteans, and Amazons (and even a Green Lantern and Gods like Zeus and Ares). To simplify the story, Whedon made it so that Steppenwolf attacked Earth at the behest of his master, but the spotlight is being put back firmly on the true big bad in Zack Snyder's miniseries.

Darkseid - known as Uxas during this period in the DC Extended Universe's history - can be seen here surrounded by his hooded followers as he seemingly prepares to unleash his Anti-Life Equation on Earth. Snyder has previously confirmed it was that which leads to Superman falling to the villain's influence in the "Knightmare" timeline.

Look closely, and you'll notice that Desaad has been added as one of the followers looming in the background worshipping Uxas.
