If you're not a fan of the comic books, chances are Ryan Choi's name won't leap off the screen. However, he's actually a very important character in the DC Universe and currently holds the mantle of The Atom (a character you may know best as Ray Palmer in Legends of Tomorrow).

In the source material, he was a gifted student of Ray Palmer at Ivy University who eventually took up the mantle of the Atom in his mentor's absence, but is that something you should expect to see here? Probably not, as Snyder has confirmed that he's a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist in his version of Justice League; that doesn't mean his future as a superhero won't be teased in some way, though.

After all, the filmmaker has confirmed in a Vero post that Ryan is "Director of nanotechnology [S.T.A.R. Labs]," so while he may be helping out with the Mother Boxes when we first meet him, he no doubt has a side project developing a suit which will allow him to shrink. In the "Snyder Cut," the character is set to be played by Orion Lee.
