Zack Snyder's Justice League: All Characters Ranked Worst To Best

Despite the backlash and audience reception to Amber Heard, Mera's role was extended in the Snyder Cut, as she appears in more than one scene in the director's cut. Mera's fight scene with Steppenwolf is extended, whilst the character also appears as a member of Batman's post apocalyptic team in the Knightmare sequence.

The scene where Mera battles Steppenwolf, and water bends the blood from the villain's body out of his mouth is dark and brutal, showcasing just how strong Mera is and some of the potential damage Atlanteans can cause their opponents in battle. Her appearance in the Epilogue also showcases a character who has lost Arthur (who was shown to be killed by Darkseid in Cyborg's vision), with the character's thirst for vengeance and feeling of loss being quite heart breaking.

While Heard's accent in the film is questionable and does not fit with Mera's other appearances in the DCEU, her role is much improved over the 2017 film.
