Zombieland: Double Tap Review - 6 Ups & 4 Downs

5. It's ALMOST As Good As The First

Given that expectations weren't exactly high for this long delayed sequel, it's a hugely pleasant surprise that there isn't a colossal gulf of quality between it and the first.

Yes, Double Tap isn't ambitious or particularly adventurous and it makes a few mistakes, but for the most part it's propelled forward by the same quirky energy that made the first a solid surprise hit.

It's all the more impressive considering how many late-day comedy sequels fail to recapture the magic, yet with so many factors working against it, Zombieland 2 is entertaining enough to even make the prospect of a third film seem appealing.
