Some ideas are just too good for this world.

Given how huge and expansive some video games can be, as evidenced by the recent release of Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s inevitable that some content will have to be cut during production. The developers simply don’t want to spread themselves too thin or overload their project with too many ideas.

This said, unused content doesn’t just disappear into the ether. Evidence of its existence can still be found in games’ data files as well as in the heads of the creators, and some dedicated fans take it upon themselves to uncover these forgotten secrets to show the world what could’ve been.

These types of cut-scene ideas are equally fascinating and disappointing to discover, especially when it turns out they are whole missions that could’ve added even more fun to already amazing games. It’s like a glimpse into an alternate version of reality that unfortunately didn’t come to pass.

The following missions haven’t made the cut, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t great. In fact, after reading about them, you’ll probably wish they could be restored somehow.

10. Mrs. A And Mrs. B - Grand Theft Auto V

One of the more fun aspects of Grand Theft Auto V is the stranger missions available to all three protagonists. Each mission features some kind of weirdo asking some kind of weird thing of your character, which usually results in plenty of hilarious shenanigans like kidnapping famous TV stars or jumping off planes in luxurious sports cars.

However, the missions that appear in the game aren't all of the ideas Rockstar's developers had for random encounters with strangers. According to some unused data files in GTA V's folders, there were at least five more side missions like this in the game, including a feisty feud between two unneighborly neighbors.

Described only as Mrs. A and Mrs. B in the files, the strangers were going to be two women who would ask Franklin to make the other's life an absolute nightmare. Franklin would have to do things like trash one woman's car, take damning photos of another, and even urinate in a pool, just to fuel this never-ending feud.

The premise of agitating two squabbling housewives may not sound like the nicest thing to do, but you've got to admit, it definitely seems more interesting than towing those damn cars for Tonya...
