10 Amazing Video Game Rewards Stupidly Locked Behind 100% Completion
1. Luigi - Super Mario Galaxy
Since Mario is the titular character of most games set in the Mushroom Kingdom, Luigi doesn't really get much spotlight. You rarely get to play as him, which is why so many fans of the franchise get really excited whenever he does become a playable character.
Super Mario Galaxy offers its players just that. Luigi can be unlocked as a playable character, but there is a string attached that unfortunately renders this otherwise amazing reward completely useless.
In order to get Luigi, the player has to finish the main story and collect all of the stars in the game. This basically means 100% completion, so by the time our green boy gets on screen, the whole galaxy, once full of wonder and adventure, will have become an empty and desolate place without anything to do.
All hope is not lost, however, as Super Mario Galaxy 2 remedies this issue. This time around, you only need to finish the main story in order to play as him. There should still be plenty of stars for you to collect once Mario passes the baton to his younger brother.
