10 Amazing Video Games With ONE Infuriating Enemy
6. Skulls - Metal Gear Solid V
Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain is a game that's almost damn near perfect with its addictive gameplay loops and unique style, somehow successfully transitioning the franchise from linear roots of the past into a huge open world. Sadly though, there is one real pain here and that is the Skulls.
Mission 1 starts off with a fairly straightforward extraction of Miller, but before rendezvousing with Pequod, Big Boss is met with an enemy unlike any other. The Skulls (also know as The Parasite Unit) show themselves as they emerge from the mist which has engulfed the area. Their movement is erratic and unpredictable as they are equipped for close courters or long-range combat. Teleportation is also on the menu with a side of magical rock-lifting force abilities, because why not?
For the most part, running away on the back of D-Horse is the best bet - especially in the early game as it just isn't worth taking them on, but in Mission 29, Metallic Archaea, the only way to progress is by killing every last one.
How... fun?
