8. The Last Guardian To Be Released On PS4, Dated For Late 2014

It was 5 years ago at E3 that Team Ico's latest adventure, The Last Guardian, was officially announced, and fans of their previous outings (Ico and Shadow of the Colossus) have been eagerly salivating ever since, hoping that every E3 will bring them closer to a release date announcement. Despite originally being planned for a 2011 PS3 release, the game has endured numerous delays, and Sony have been curiously vague about announcing anything concrete since, other than that the game is definitely still in development. Their oblique references to "re-engineering" the game have caused many to believe that The Last Guardian is in fact being re-purposed for the PS4, as releasing it for the PS3 would now naturally seem rather redundant. An E3 announcement is a long shot for sure, though certainly within the realm of possibility given how well the PS4 is selling, and how firmly settled it is as the next-gen leader: this should give Sony the confidence to finally give gamers what they've been craving for years.
