10 Best GTA Characters Of All Time

Which characters stand out as the absolute best the series has to offer?

The Grand Theft Auto series has had so many memorable characters, enough for numerous lists. In the initial games in the series, characters weren€™t all that important - gameplay and improvisation were king - but as the franchise made the leap into 3D, Rockstar were able to really flex their creative muscles, creating some personalities which have to be seen to be believed. Throughout all the entries in the series to date, there have been numerous personalities which have made us smile, whether because they're making us laugh, or because the strength of voice performance and overall attention to detail is incredible. The best GTA characters are those who are easy to relate to, yet have that dial turned all the way up and come across completely over-the-top. Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of GTA's stable of characters is that even the most minor of figures can live long in the memory - it's a true testament to how great the writing team at Rockstar are at their jobs when people only crop up a handful of times, yet leave a lasting impression. From the original Grand Theft Auto on the PS One and PC, right up till the HD makeover of GTA V on the latest generation of videogame consoles, which characters stand out as the absolute best the series has to offer? Outlandish personalities, homicidal maniacs and people who just want to live their own lives, they're all here, all living in the great big melting pot that is the GTA universe.
