10 Best Keith David Voice Acting Performances In Video Games
3. Himself - Saints Row IV
Another Saints Row game, seriously? Well, yes, but only because this is the rare occasion upon which someone so beloved amongst gamers really excels as playing themselves, all within the messed up realm of the Saints Row format. As hinted at earlier in this article, the fourth edition of Saints Row goes for the bizarre - not only does your character become the President Of The United States, after saving the world from a nuclear attack, but he or she has to fight off an alien invasion by the evil Zin Empire. It's all completely bonkers, but there's something distinctly charming about the whole operation. As for Keith David, who had previously voiced Julius Little in the series, he appears as himself. Oh, he also happens to be the Vice President, because why not? The vast majority of the game takes place inside a computer simulation, so even Julius Little makes a cameo, but it's as himself which David ironically takes centre stage. There aren't many bland characters in Saints Row IV, but almost all of them are fantasy. To craft a niche for yourself, as yourself, takes special presence, and voice acting ability.
