Breath of the Wild carved out an entirely new direction for Link, whilst still remaining nostalgic and faithful to the pre-existing games. The music throughout the title makes this very clear as its original use of instruments feel like call-backs to the classic themes but also a distinctly new sound as well. The most significant addition has to be the use of an accordion by the minstrel Kass.
This song has such a fresh feel in the world of Hyrule and expands the scope of the franchise. Since the sound of the instrument is something new to the Legend of Zelda series, it instantly draws your attention whenever you come across it and gives you a purpose to locate its source. Upon finding Kass, there is often a chance for great reward as he guides you to shrine quests.
The song work of Kass is expanded in the BOTW DLC which allows you to help him learn the song of his master, but the simple theme of the Rito is enough to garner him acclaim amongst the busy library of Zelda songs.
