10 Best Secrets In Enter The Gungeon

Do you like secrets? Guns? Dungeons? What about secret guns and dungeons?

Dodge Roll

The Gungeon, like any good and self respecting dungeon is packed to the brim full of secrets. So many, in fact that it is unlikely that all of them could be mentioned here. Even after one hundred and fifty hours one could and would have only barely scratched the surface of all the tantalizing and diverse content that Enter The Gungeon has to offer.

The game has stuck in the minds of players for a variety of reasons; it’s multiple games in one, no two runs are ever the same, the immense number of references and easter eggs, and of course, secrets.

It keeps them coming back, risking death over and over again just to continue to discover the wacky and zany contents that most just gloss over on initial playthroughs.

They are secrets of all different calibers as well, from additional player characters to additional levels, hidden and rare NPC’s, and more boss battles that add a level of difficulty the standard baddies couldn’t even comprehend.

The best part is, it’s all free. No paid DLC here.

10. The Old Man In The Walls

Dodge Roll

Any video game developer who’s older than twenty is likely to throw in a small (or very big) Legend of Zelda easter egg or reference into their game. Luckily for all you Zelda fans out there, Enter the Gungeon has just the perfect thing for you. There are multiple references, weapons, and lovely NPC’s to scratch that itch that you all have.

Not only can a lost adventurer who looks strikingly like Link be found, but the old man who bestows upon him his first sword can also be located within hidden rooms! He looks as though Dodge Roll used the classic sprite from Link’s first adventure and spruced up a little. He even says his iconic line!

He is always at the ready to gift you a random gun or item AND tell you about his crippling loneliness. It’s dangerous to traverse the Gungeon alone. Take this!
