10 Best Side Quests In Fable 2
8. Brightwood Tower
Fable gives you the option to invest in real estate, and this ends up adding a lot of character to the experience to help it stand out amongst other RPGs. At the end of the game, you can easily end up owning the entirety of Albion, and this feels immensely satisfying. You can even go so far as to purchase the buildings that bear significance to the story, and one such place is Brightwood Tower.
The game doesn't merely allow you to purchase the setting and have that be it, however, as once you own the tower, you must spend a night inside it. As soon as you drift off to sleep, you enter the Nightmare Hollow and find yourself in child form again, and soon encounter Chesty the chest who calls you their "super best friend" and forces you to fight many creatures. Once you've defeated them all you awake and gain Chesty's contents.
It's a great mission as it lends an authentic experience to layer onto the satisfaction of owning Brightwood Tower, and Chesty is an incredibly fun non-human character to interact with, even going on to appear in the next game.
