10 Best Side Quests In Fable 2
9. The Blind Date
This is an incredibly simple, but perfectly fun experience that has no bearing on anything in the rest of the game, but gives you a chance to delve into the classic Fable humour that makes the title such a delight.
The Blind Date begins at Brightwood Farm where you encounter Farmer Giles, and he tasks you with finding a partner for his son Rupert. You're given a picture of the farmer's son and asked to go to Bowerstone Market to find him a girlfriend, but after talking to the man himself, he reveals that he is more interested in men. Thus you are given the choice of either finding a partner that his father wants for him, or one that he will appreciate.
It's a fun little distraction where you can have some great interactions with the very fun NPCs found in Bowerstone Market. Ultimately the conclusion to the story is very satisfying, with Farmer Giles learning of his son's sexuality, accepting it and proceeding to move out of Brightwood Farm with him, which now gives you the option to purchase the building.
It's precisely the kind of experience you would expect from Fable as it's funny, simple and full of charm.
