This quest has a lot going for it, including some great recurring figures, a creepy and unsettling location and even some elements of Lovecraftian lore with the Necronomicon. While this isn't the first time that you have dealt with the characters of Sam, Max and their overbearing mother, it certainly is one of the best, as you truly understand how in over their heads the pair are.
If you go to the Cow & Corset in Bowerstone Market, you will encounter Mrs Spade, the mother of the two bumbling aspiring necromancers. She informs you that the duo have gone off on another ill-advised adventure and tasks you with returning the "silly sods" back to her. Thus you venture forth into the cursed land of Wraithmarsh, battling Hollow men and Banshee's purely to help these two goofy fools.
It's a mission that juxtaposes the horror of the setting with the ridiculous premise of the quest, and perfectly encapsulates how fully committed Fable is to being a diverse experience that delivers on laughs and scares in equal measure.
