10 Best Versions Of Iconic Video Games You Didn't Play
6. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past - Game Boy Advance
Generally respected as one of the greatest 2D adventure games of all time, it's no wonder that The Legend of Zelda fans were begging for Nintendo to port A Link to the Past over the GameBoy Advance. When they did so, it arrived in 2004 with the unwieldy title of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords.
The cartridge was one hell of a two-for-one deal. Whichever you bought it for you were getting a bargain. Want a portable version of Link to the Past? Here’s a free multiplayer adventure! Want a Zelda game you can play with your friends? Here’s an updated classic, for free!
A Link to the Past remains mostly intact, save for a few exploits patched out and a few nifty additions such as being able to save and load the game anywhere rather than specific locations. Also, for some reason, Link now yells and screams using his voice clips from Ocarina of Time which is something you’ll either love or hate.
As for Four Swords Adventure, it had that level of Nintendo quality you’d come to expect. Cooperatively solving puzzles with friends in the Zelda universe for the first time was a revelation, and probably something that Nintendo needs to do more with considering how good Four Swords and it's sequels have been.
