10 Bold Gaming Predictions For E3 2015

9. Silent Hills Gets Resurrected... By Sony

Konami may be dousing themselves in lighter fluid and dancing amongst the embers of their dead franchises right now, but one such property that took off far more than anyone involved could've expected was last year's Playable Teaser for the iconic horror reboot; Silent Hills. The project was set to be helmed by Metal Gear Solid-creator Hideo Kojima alongside silver screen vision-wizard Guillermo del Toro and star of The Walking Dead, Norman Reedus, - all sounding ace. However, with Konami suddenly pulling the plug on the whole thing seemingly thanks to a fallout between themselves and Kojima (or just in a rush to leave the gaming industry in general) a phenomenal rumour came through Microsoft buying up the IP to unveil as an Xbox exclusive at E3. It was later squashed by head honcho Phil Spencer himself (the chap you'll be seeing on stage in two weeks) so as to avoid people getting their hopes up too much - which is exactly why it's prime for Sony to step in instead. With Sony's heritage being based in the East (a market Microsoft and the Xbox never tapped into whatsoever) Konami could be far more favourable of handing over the reigns, not to mention Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid started out on PlayStation hardware as exclusives before Microsoft became a major console player.
