10 Most Criminally Underrated Games Of The Last Generation

The diamonds in the rough you really ought to give another chance.

There has been no shortage of great games over the course of the last seven year generation, and predictably, ever since the arrival of Sony and Microsoft€™s new consoles, €˜game of the generation€™ lists have been popping up more frequently than Pringles lids. Yet for every obvious choice like GTA V, Bioshock and Super Mario Galaxy, there are thousands more games that remain unlisted and unloved, and while they might not all be masterpieces (although some definitely are), these games still deserve recognition in their own right. Somewhat unthinkably, some of the games included on this list attracted criticisms that just weren't justified, and each remains an enriching addition to the market - far more, in fact, than some of the charlatan titles that populated the most played end of generation lists. There will be games you€™ve probably heard of and others you may not recognise, but all share one thing in common: they unjustly slipped under the radar between bigger releases, and missed out on the acclaim and the accolades they undoubtedly deserved. They are the last generation€™s diamonds in the rough that didn€™t quite get the love that they were surely due, and which now firmly deserve a second look.
