10 Dream Star Wars Games And Who Should Develop Them

3. A Star Wars Adventure Game - TellTale Games

If Bethesda have shown great restraint in not hocking their open world formula off to the highest bidding franchise, then TellTale Games have done they exact opposite. Following the success of 2012’s The Walking Dead Game, TellTale Games have signed on to develop various licensed adventures games, with varied levels of success.

Game of Thrones, Batman, Minecraft, Borderlands and Fables have all already received the TellTale treatment, with a Guardians of the Galaxy tie-in also in the works. But why omit Star Wars from the list?

Given that The Walking Dead told a tight, effective zombie story without excessively violent gameplay, there’s no reason why you couldn’t do the same with Star Wars.

Maybe you’re a smuggler trying to navigate the galaxy’s seedy underbelly, or perhaps you’re part of an elite squadron of rebel infiltrators, attempting to break into an imperial base? Whatever the concept, there’s plenty of room for TellTale to adapt Star Wars’ familiar space-opera formula, and deliver a more character-driven experience akin to the original movies, and since the California-based studio isn’t beholden to any other publisher, Disney could approach them without breaking any preexisting agreements.
