10 Early PS4 Games Worth Playing In 2020
2. Tearaway Unfolded
The PlayStation Vita is touted as the best handheld gaming console ever created; it is also probably the last major handheld machine made solely for gaming. And Tearaway was one of its diamonds, a fun and vibrant platformer that utilized that system's features in smart and endearing ways.
While it's not as involved as its predecessor, Tearaway Unfolded serves to highlight Media Molecule as a developer who understands the systems they make games for. There's few better games to capture video-gaming as an innovative and interactive art form than this masterpiece from Media Molecule.
Playing as little paper person Iota (or Atoi), you are tasked with delivering a letter to... yourself, as in, You, a mysterious and omnipotent entity that is now connected to the paper-themed world you're playing in. While operating as a pixelated postman, you must find out how to stop the spread of Scraps who are damaging the world.
That plot synopsis alone is charmingly silly, and the game absolutely knows how to engage the player through clever use of the PS4's controller as Tearaway on the Vita did. It's not as personal as the Vita, but MM have done a remarkable job adapting such a world to its big brother.
