10 Forgotten Playstation Classics That Would Sell Millions

9. MediEvil

If you're one of the people who played Sony's attempt at getting a slice of the Smash Bros pie - aka Playstation All Stars Battle Royale - you'll have probably seen a weird skeleton dude known as Sir Dan Fortesque on the roster. If you're from the era of the Playstation One, chances are you might have even actually known who he was! Dan is none other than the star of the MediEvil franchise, a criminally-underrated series that spanned two games way back in the day. It was briefly resurrected - in a title known as MediEvil Resurrection - for the PSP back in 2005. A hack and slash title with added puzzle elements and a great amount of crazy weaponry to play around with, the original games pitted Dan against the evil Zarok, who managed to kill our hero years before. Freshly resurrected and looking a bit more skeletoney, Dan goes on a quest to stop Zarok and earn his place in the Hall of Heroes (he was, unfortunately, denied entry due to his pathetic death of being shot in the eye at the start of the battle). Why should MediEvil return? Simple - it's really one of the best exclusive franchises Sony had on the original Playstation. It's a shame that it appears to have never set the world on fire, but with the right developmental team, Sony's deep pockets and a great dollop of trademark British humour, MediEvil could be the hack and slash title the Playstation 4 needs.
