10 GameCube Games We Need To See On Nintendo Switch

1. Viewtiful Joe

This series, and its first instalment especially, had all the makings of a genuine sensation. Incredibly fun gameplay - a side scrolling beat ‘em up seeing the player hop between the real world and a fourth wall-busting “movieland”.

Hyper stylised, amazingly animated graphics. Replayability and intuitive controls that begged to be mastered.

While the game did reasonably well, particularly in Japan, it never quite transcended a certain level - that of the minor game done good. Three follow ups were similarly well received by its loyal audience, but sold even worse.

With its gaudy cartoon visuals, the game still looks an absolute treat today, and the multitude of play styles gives the gamer plenty to get their teeth into.

With the popularity of superhero properties seemingly never waning, Viewtiful Joe offers players the chance to step into the shoes of their own violent crusade straight from the pages of the wildest comic book imaginable.
