The Game You Played €“ Tomorrow Never Dies The PlayStation's first James Bond game hoped to pacify the GoldenEye-deprived masses. Was It A Worthy Substitute? It was never meant to be. Tomorrow Never Dies was not supposed to be Goldeneye - it wasn't even a first person shooter and contained no multiplayer. Nonetheless, PlayStation gamers found themselves flocking to the game in the hopes it would at least be an entertaining Bond game. The most optimistic thought it could be separate but equal to the revolutionary Goldeneye. Instead, Tomorrow Never Dies was a resounding disappointment; nothing worked like it was supposed to and it just wasn't any fun to play. The best thing you can say is that it stayed true to the awful James Bond film it shares a name with. But hey, maybe we can consider the shared sense of disappointment the game invokes to be a multiplayer experience of its own. Every cloud, right?
