10 Gaming Moves That Are Simply Humiliating

2. Luigi's Tantrum (Smash Bros.)

When he's not a whistling exorcist taking the Dyson to an attic full of ghosts, Green Mario's typical role in Castle Nintendo is as the lanky butt of all their jokes. Perpetually in the shadow of his fundamentally identical brother - save for his Boo-hunting expertise - poor Luigi just can't seem to catch a break.

Until Smash Bros., that is, in which the put-upon plumber channels over three-decades of overlooked frustration into one of the brawler's most disgustingly disparaging moves. Even more embarrassing that Jigglypuff's demonic Sleep, Luigi's shoe-shuffling taunt is the only one in the entire game which causes direct damage - albeit a measly 1%.

Might not sound much, but time it just right, and it's more than enough to send a grasping opponent plummeting to oblivion. Not so funny now, is he?

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
