10 Gruelling Video Game Levels That Were Just The Beginning

With the other entries on this list, at least when you cleared these gruelling levels only to be smacked in the face with how much more you had to do...you still DID it. Because while hard, they were never insultingly demanding of you and setting you up to fail before the game even properly began.

No, that honor belongs to this, the tutorial level from the original Driver on the PS1.

For those uninitiated, this is considered to be one of - if not the worst example of a tutorial in a video game. You are plopped down into this game without any information about the controls, and told to perform a series of insanely complex driving techniques...in one minute. Fail and you have to do it all over again.

Some are simple like performing a 180 degree spin, others are simply called "slalom". What's a slalom? To this day no one truly knows, but you have to do it if you want to see the rest of the game.

Combine all of this with the fact that the game is just kinda...crap, and you have the one entry on this list where most people just put the game down for good before even reaching the first level. What else could possibly be at the top of this list?
