10 Hip-Hop Songs That Reference Popular Video Games

1. House Of Pain - Jump Around (1992)

Jump Around is one of those party songs that never dies, mainly because of the simple command of its chorus: Jump Around! The video game lines drop in the third verse from Everlast:

"I'm the cream of the crop, I rise to the top,

I never eat a pig 'cause a pig is a cop,

Or better yet a Terminator, like Arnold Schwarzenegger,

Try to play me out like as if my name was SEGA!"

Nobody's saying Everlast had the heads up on the upcoming failure of the SEGA machines through the 90s (and there's a lot of them!) but it's funny that he linked that company in particular to the possibility of dying out...

What's more, a Brit saying SEGA wouldn't rhyme with the -negger bit of Schwarzenegger. Just sayin'.
