10 Hugely Popular Video Games That Deserve To Be Hated

8. The Saboteur

I guarantee most of you are going to read this and say "What the hell is The Saboteur?" I can attest to the fact that I had to do a lot of research before I stumbled across this very dirty gem. Very dirty gem. However the more research I did, the more I realized that there was a lot of hype and popularity surrounding this game. The Saboteur is a horrid creation. There isn't much more to say about it. The entire story-line has been seen countless times and begins to get irritatingly repetitive the more it winds up on game store shelves. The main character and a friend are captured for sabotage, the friend is killed, and the main character aims to avenge his friend's death with the help of random organizations. One of the only redeeming factors is the art design. The game is set during the second World War, and the art reflects that. The presentation has a sepia-tinted appearance that suits the era of the game. However, the animations are awkward, the dialogue is practically unconvincing, and the story in itself does not seem to do justice to the supposedly 'true' story that The Saboteur is based off of. All that being said, I do not believe that The Saboteur should have received half the praise it did. It really isn't exciting at all.
