10 Images That Will Restore Your Faith In Upcoming Video Games

6. The Evil Within 2

The Evil Within 2 Union
Bethesda

Why We're Worried: This game being released in the jam-packed month of October creates concern enough that Bethesda is sending it out to die, all the more so considering the fairly low-key marketing campaign so far.

As such, it probably wouldn't surprise many if The Evil Within 2 ended up a competent but rote sequel that nobody remembers or really bothers to buy outside of the hardcore fanbase.

Why This Image Rocks: This is the city of Union, the game's central setting, an idyllic town created by the first game's STEM technology where protagonist Sebastian is searching for his daughter, just as its utopian qualities begin to give way to something much more sinister.

This image sells that the game will have a bolder and more distinct aesthetic than its predecessor, and will be very much its own thing rather than a lazy facsimile of what came before. Get hype.
