Its good to be a gamer; with new announcements, brilliant games and surprise showings happening all the time, barely a week goes by without something of note happening in the industry. Whether another giant company is holding their own celebratory event or a smaller developer are releasing a brilliant low-key game for free, players are experiencing new and memorable gaming moments all the time. However, only a few of these go on to live forever in the heart's of all those who experienced them. More than just anticipated announcements or cool set-pieces, these were the events that made gamers completely break down with joy. Whether it was the reveal of a game no one expected to see or just an iconic scene in a defining franchise, sometimes games can reduce their players to tears for all the right reasons. Because gamers are a pretty invested bunch (hell, you only have to look at the likes of the console wars for an example of how passionate fans can get about the things they love,) it only makes sense that they react powerfully when something amazing happens. While those on the outside might look at these moments with a questionable shrug, those invested in the medium remember them as some of the most impactful the industry has ever seen.
