3. Hiring Crew - Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
Similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey and its conquest battles, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla features a raiding mechanic that allows you to join full-on battles alongside loyal warriors.
The thing that separates Valhalla's raiders from Odyssey's soldiers is that every now and then you spot some player-made faces among your ranks.
When you first join a raiding party, the game makes you create a custom Jomsviking. The character will not appear in your single-player campaign; however, they can be sent out into the world to be hired to other players' raiding parties.
Whenever your Jomsviking is picked up for a raid, you gain bonus rewards for your single-player save, such as additional resources for your settlements, money, and experience. Similarly, if you hire Jomsvikings of other players, you get exclusive rewards as well!
The system is never fully relevant in the single-player mode, but it can give you a big boost that can speed up the process of developing your settlement beyond anything the regular single-player features offer.
Besides, it's also pretty awesome to see your Viking making a name for themselves out there!
