5. Super Mario Odyssey - Skipping Rope Challenge
Mario is a mascot of the Nintendo brand, a legend in his own right, with multiple fantastic platforming adventures under his belt. His latest mainline entry in the superb Super Mario Odyssey had us travelling from world to world, collecting precious moons in the hopes to save Princess Peach -- again.
Despite many fantastic lands to visit and innovative challenges to partake in, the skipping rope challenge comes from the fiery depths of Bowser's Castle and can absolutely return back there.
The first time you partake in this challenge, a reasonably difficult task of skipping 30 times is required. For those who lack the hand, eye co-ordination, this can be a mean task, but it's doable. Then comes the next challenge...
If 30 wasn't enough, then you'll be forced to make 100 for the next moon. Fail to complete it, then you'll have that moon taunting you, begging you to secure it.
It was originally possible to perform an easy glitch to complete the challenge as many players crushed their Joy-Cons in anger trying to hit the 100 jumps, but that has since been patched. There's now other means players have secured to beat their way around it, but still require a bit of skill and luck.
I hated skipping ropes in school, but now I detest them.
