10 Lies That Stopped You Playing Awesome Video Games
3. Mass Effect: Andromeda Is The Worst Game Ever Created
Throughout video game history there have been many worst games ever created. In the beginning, there was ET: The Extra-Terrestrial, which ruined the industry for years to come. We then had the likes of Duke Nukem Forever and currently, people seem obsessed with the worst games of the year, decade, generation, etc. Andromeda was unfortunately, but somewhat fairly, one of these games to get roasted because it was the in thing to do.
Was it janky? Yes. Did it have a bit of clunk in regards to menus, levelling and general user interface? Most definitely. But what it also had were some actually unique and interesting design choices, especially in regard to environment and traversal of said environment. A player could easily spend hours immersed in this world and although some issues, such as animations, buggy models and textures might take them out of it, Andromeda is far from the worst game ever created.
You see, that’s why video games are great, because there are so many of them and so many people to enjoy them. I don’t, in any way, condone or justify rushed developments that lead to broken games. However, I can speak on the fact that, in most circumstances, a good discount, few years of patches and ignorance to naysayers can often do wonders for one’s enjoyment of a game.
