10 Lies That Stopped You Playing Awesome Video Games
4. Animal Crossing Is A Paid Facebook Game
There are parts of this misconception I understand and parts which I can’t wrap my head around. For those that might not know, back in the day when Facebook was all the rage, there were several, very low effort games that would require you to come back every day or every few hours. Basically, they were last decade’s version of mobile games. I guess some people saw a slither of comparison between these games and Animal Crossing due to the latter’s encouragement of coming back each day, but is that really so bad?
We come back to our favourite competitive games daily. There are many MMOs and RPGs which we come back to every day, even if only for months at a time. So, how is Animal Crossing any worse for this? Well, I would imagine that some people find the simple and relaxing nature to be repetitive or tedious. Animal Crossing allows you to do a wide variety of friendly, neighbourly actions, such as gardening, fishing, exploring, raising money and if you feel like it, just chatting with the townspeople.
Sure, not everyone is into chill games, a game where you can get comfy with minimal time restraints or reasons to get rushing around, but that shouldn’t diminish its validity as a legitimate video game that a wide demographic enjoys.
