10 More Video Game Bosses That React To You Being A Jerk

5. Scissors - Paper Mario: The Origami King

In Paper Mario: The Origami King, Scissors - who, to be clear, is literally just a giant pair of scissors - promises to annihilate Mario, but first he wants to have a little fun.

At this moment, Scissors puts a sheath on his blades to level the playing field, though warns players that if they attack the sheath, he will see it as a direct challenge and hold nothing back.

Well, don't say he didn't warn you.

And honestly, why not indulge his theatrical request and see what happens? Are you in a rush to get through this fight?

If you abide Scissors' instructions and only attack his handles, the first phase of the fight is considerably easier, though if you go straight for the sheath, Scissors will remove the sheath and immediately start with his trickiest, most dangerous attacks.

Given that Mario is made of paper in this game, Scissors is able to kill him with a single attack, and so you're certainly better off listening to his instructions at the outset.

If you ignore him like the party pooper that you are, then you're gonna be in for a tougher time.
