We couldn’t do this list without featuring an item that is quite literally named the “Waist of Time” which is not only a glorious pun but should’ve alerted World of Warcraft fans to the inevitable destination of their hunt for this secret.

2018’s Battle of Azeroth update brought a tonne of new content to the world famous MMO but WoW diehards stumbled across something unexpected after solving the secret to the game’s newest familiar, the Baa’l. Whilst exploring the map with your new demonic goat friend, inspecting very specific places offers clues and leads players to skeletal gnome Grimmy.

The quest for this cosmetic item continues with various cryptic demands and notes. Players must speak to a tailor to equip some specific gear, wear the gear to get another letter which, once deciphered, asks them to perform various emotes in certain points of the map. After that, it's the arduous task of gathering 144 stacks of the Rotten Potato debuff.

Finally the Waist of Time is bequeathed to those patient enough to fulfil this mysterious mission and, true to its name, it has no particular function other than bragging rights to other World of Warcraft players that you might have too much time on your hands.
