You know him, you loathe him, you never want to go bowling with him! Yes there is truly no better place to start this list than with the desperate, needy cousin of GTA: IV's protagonist; Roman Bellic. An obvious choice, but being too obviously annoying is certainly not going to spare Roman from appearing on this list. Though useful and relevant enough a character to aid Niko's motivations and to progress the early stages of the game, Roman quickly manages to establish himself as one of GTA's most annoying characters ever. Outside of the game's story and missions he is infamous for constantly bombarding the player with phone calls to invite them out on activities such as bowling or playing darts. Though it's likely players are meant to sympathise with Roman's eternal struggles to achieve his lofty "American dreams", he ultimately fails to truly endear anybody. This point reaches its crux where the available ending that leads to his death will almost have felt like a prize to some players. Perhaps Niko paid for a bowling pin-shaped headstone for his cousin's burial?
