This next one is a long-awaited, and much-needed change to the Animal Crossing series.

Gone are the days where the word 'cool' dictated your entire facial structure. No more resetting the game over and over until your eyes are finally NOT scary. Now when you begin a new game, you will be able to completely dictate your character's appearance; from hair style to nose shape! Unfortunately there are still a limited number of styles, but Nintendo has confirmed that you will be able to unlock more later on in your game.

Apart from the obvious new freedom this feature brings, it also gives the player the choice to choose the skin colour of their avatar - a feature that has been needed in the game for a very long time.
