10 Most Devastating Doomsday Weapons In Video Game History

3. The Dollar Flu - Tom Clancy's The Division

Tom Clancy's The Division was a title that spread through the gaming consciousness like a plague itself, with players embracing its looter-shooter mechanics and rather dour narrative, as here in place of faceless goons and corrupt government cells, was a killer virus.

The Dollar-Flu or Green Poison was developed and unleashed by Dr. Gordon Amherst as a means of population control, spreading the virus by contaminating currency and circulating it throughout New York across Black Friday, where the money would be changing hands most frequently.

It's as smart as it was terrifyingly deadly, with The Dollar Flu wiping out 95% of the population, leaving the Big Apple looking a little more rotten as the area was thrown into chaos by gangs and warring survivors.

If there's anything sure to make people sweat bullets it's the thought of another pandemic, so I'd say most countries would go to great lengths to keep this from ever happening, a fine bargaining tool for any would-be world tyrant wannabe.
